As far back as Greek Mythology and possibly further, people have often questioned the connection between the menstruation cycles of a woman in conjunction with the Full Moon cycles. Although modern scientists often discredit this theory, many women and men still hold onto this belief system. Alchemy itself thrives on belief systems of the individual since it is in theory a power that uses intention and soul searching of a single person to be active. Thus, it would require the individual to believe in her own divine power and intuition to be in full alignment with the cycles of the Moon, making it difficult to disprove.
